Angie Trombley
Yoga in my life has been a deep exploration into myself and into the mystical. I have always sensed that there is more than what we see.
I spent my childhood and youth roaming through the woods and exploring the waters of upstate New York. I have a deep respect and connection with the earth. Aside from practicing/teaching yoga, I run an organic farm and flower business (Squire Tarbox Farm on Westport Island) with my partner, Kyle.
I have been practicing yoga for about 9 years and have been teaching for 3 years. I have a 200-hour certification in both Kundalini Yoga (3HO) and Interdisciplinary yoga (Nosara Institute), as well as a 50 hour certification in Pre-Natal Yoga (Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa and Davi Kaur Khalsa).
Yoga has changed and deepened for me over the years. I think of myself as a perennial student as well as a teacher. I am always working to help students deepen their practice and open their hearts to compassion, loving-kindness, and peace. I draw strongly on my own personal experiences to help my students deepen their own internal awareness and understand that they are more than they may think they are.
Beyond asana, I am interested in meditation, breathwork, visualization and mantra. Many of my classes will incorporate each of these elements. I also incorporate my love for music and sound, using it to move my classes in different directions — sometimes introspective, sometimes fun, but always an experience.
My hope is to open people up to the fact that we are all light beings connected to one another. Sat Nam.
