KRIPALU YOGA AT JAI
WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A KRIPALU AFFILIATE STUDIO

Kripalu is a Sanskrit word and means “being compassionate.” The Kripalu approach is one of cultivating compassion for oneself and others as a vehicle for personal growth and well-being.

We all know that yoga is a way to practice and experience compassion. In addition to being compassion-based, Kripalu Yoga also centers on the core values of authenticity, self-trust, courage to be self-expressive and a positive regard for others. In the Kripalu tradition, practicing these values is a way to integrate oneself, bringing all aspects of being into alignment for a harmonious life.

Many of our teachers trained – and continue to train – at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Western Massachusetts. Therefore, many of our classes are taught in the Kripalu spirit of self-inquiry and transformation.

And because we are a Kripalu Affiliate Studio, we teach yoga with integrity and joy to people of all levels of ability and familiarity. We believe a regular yoga practice leads to a thriving human experience! And that is good for all of us.
